Melie OÜ packs its tea with a special tea packaging machine. The special feature of the machine allows for mixing several different ingredients according to the recipe. The dispensers of the packaging machine are sensitive, and the weight of the recipe ingredients can be determined with an accuracy of up to 0.3 grams. Since the machine is efficient, we can offer packaging services outsourcing service to anyone who wants it.

Customers can choose ingredients from our broad range of herbs or deliver their specific raw material. For tea packing, we use triangular tea bags and two different materials. It is possible to choose a teabag with or without a label. We can also help you design a personalized tea bag label if necessary. Both teabag materials are biodegradable filter fabrics made from vegetable starch.

PLA filter fabric – PLA Non-Woven tea bag is suitable for fine particles and NeoSoilon® material is suitable for larger/coarser fraction (smaller leaves, flowers, berries, etc.). Both fabrics are GMO- free and made from plant material.

NeoSoilon is a 100% PLA mesh filter. PLA (polylactic acid) is a polymer resin produced by lactic acid fermentation of glucose from corn starch. Tea bags made of woven fabric are transparent and have good extractability. NeoSoilon tea bag is made of pure, high-quality plant material, so it is the best packaging material for organic tea, enabling us to offer customers fully certified organic tea products.
